This celebration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson happened at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, during Green Gary Day (4/21/2012). This event included readings of excerpts from "Silent Spring" and a conversation with Patricia DeMarco, Director of the Rachel Carson Institute.
